If you enjoy being involved behind the scenes, we’d love your help.
To help the group run smoothly, we have a small Core Team that works together to guide planning and decisions.
The Core Team helps organize activities and keep things moving forward
It allows us to make decisions efficiently, without relying on frequent Facebook polls
Each member represents the broader group of artists who enjoy painting with us
👉 We are always happy to welcome a few more helping hands!
We hold three planning meetings each year to organize our Spring and Fall seasons.
Core Team members are asked to attend at least one meeting annually
All members are welcome to join these meetings—we encourage participation!
👉 You won’t be doing this alone—these are shared, collaborative efforts.
As a small and flexible group, we aim to keep things simple.
We do not currently require bylaws or dues
Future structure (like dues or formal roles) would only be considered if needed—for example:
Managing funds
Expanding events
Handling insurance or larger activities
👉 For now, we’re focused on keeping things easy and enjoyable.

As we grow, having a simple, shared system for handling funds will help us:
Cover small group expenses (domain name, supplies, printing, refreshments)
Manage funds from events or fundraisers
Avoid using personal accounts
Allow us to accept donations to help fund the club.
This role helps keep everything clear, fair, and transparent.
A club bank account would be set up (not a personal account)
Two Core Team members would serve as signers
Funds would be used for group-related expenses
Helps set up and manage the club bank account
Tracks incoming and outgoing funds
Handles simple reimbursements for group expenses
Assists with event or fundraiser tracking (using tools like Google Forms/Sheets)
Shares bank statements with the Core Team twice a year for transparency
This is a light, manageable role—you do not need to be an accountant.
Someone who:
Is a trusted and active member of the group
Is comfortable with basic online tools (Google Forms, spreadsheets, online banking)
Enjoys helping keep things organized
