NSPA is built on something simple and special:
When we work together, we create something better than any one of us could do alone.
Everyone starts the same way—just come out and paint with us.
If you enjoy it (and most people do!), getting involved tends to happen naturally.
Many members enjoy helping in small, easy ways:
Suggest a painting location
Host one paint-out per year
When you are cohost, you take a few photos photo and share a short post afterward in the Facebook group.
It’s simple to do—and a great way to get to know others in the group.

Hosting a Paint-Out Help lead a relaxed group outing—simple, fun, and a great way to connect.
Helping host a paint-out is a simple and rewarding way to be involved.
As a host, you would:
Choose or suggest a location
Contact the property owner if needed (a quick email is usually enough)
Welcome the group when they arrive
After the event:
Take a group photo
Share a short “wrap-up” post in the Facebook group (this can easily be done from your phone)
👉 Most members enjoy hosting about once a year—it’s a great way to contribute and connect.
Planning Meetings Help shape upcoming seasons in a relaxed, collaborative setting.
We gather a few times each year to plan our Spring and Fall painting seasons.
Meetings are typically held in March and July
All members should try to attend and contribute their great ideas
If you’re unable to attend, you’re still welcome to:
Suggest locations
Offer to host a future event
👉 These are friendly, informal gatherings—everyone’s ideas are welcome.
Sometimes we pair planning with a fun activity—like a watercolor swatch day!
