Being part of NSPA means more than painting—
It’s about connection, creativity, and shared opportunities.
NSPA is a collaborative and welcoming group, and many members enjoy getting involved in simple, meaningful ways. Members often choose to:
Attend paint-outs when they’re able
Help scout and co-host a location once per year
Assist with small volunteer needs or events
Join at least one planning meeting each year
👉 Every bit of participation helps keep the group active and enjoyable for everyone. With increased participation, come increased benefits.
Fully Active members (who paint with us, scout & host, plan, and volunteer) can share their own classes and events within our region.
Add a Class You Teach
Classes must take place within our region (please refer to the Our Region page).
Dates should be coordinated after NSPA painting dates are scheduled
If a conflict exists, the class may need to be adjusted or not shown
👉 To coordinate, please reach out using the contact information below.
If you are a fully active member, and the event does not conflict, and it is a personal event such as a show, within our region, not a page, you may:
Send a request to create your event to the email address below
If aprroved by the core team we can share it in the NSPA Facebook Group
We can post it to the public Facebook page if it is appropriate to our mission.
We want to help advertise the shows of our members and their classes. If in doubt, just ask us.
A blank calendar does not necessarily mean dates are available for your select. Please contact us below.
NSPA and Winchester Urban Sketchers events take priority
To keep the calendar clear and useful for everyone:
Events tied to another organization’s location with member dues for that advertising are not cross-listed. For example, you can be an Artist in Middleburg (we love you, AIM) but a group show at AIM does not need to be advertised here.
